A Ballogie House Wedding to Remember — Heather & Michael

This Ballogie House wedding had EVERYTHING — elegance, emotion & the best party energy. From tearful aisle moments to golden portraits in the grounds, this day was unreal. I mean - there are weddings you photograph, and then there are weddings you FEEL. Heather and Michael’s day was the latter — a stunning mix of emotion, laughter, timeless style, and warm Scottish light that made each moment shine.

Ballogie House outdoor wedding ceremony

As guests arrived this autumn afternoon, the rolling hills and greenery of Ballogie’s estate provided the perfect backdrop for an outdoor ceremony that felt both intimate and elegant. The bespoke floral arch created by Hay's Flowers framed the couple beautifully, setting the scene for some of the most heartfelt vows (and one penguin impression!)

The wedding styling was perfect, peaches, rusts and creams set the bridal accessories and invites beautifully. And Heather was simply breathtaking. Her dress from Ivory Grace — classic, sculpted, and flowing — caught that afternoon glow in the most magical way. As the soft light filtered through the trees, every portrait felt warm, romantic, and effortless — a photographer’s dream. And let’s not forget Michael — styled in traditional Scottish attire that perfectly complemented the venue’s relaxed yet refined atmosphere.

A range of wedding portraits taken in the woods in Scotland

Friends, Fun & Golden Hour. After the ceremony, the guests mingled on the lawn with drinks in hand, laughter filling the air. From lawn games to candid moments with friends, each snapshot told a story of joy and connection. And then came the golden hour — that perfect moment of warm light in the late afternoon. Cocktail hour was provided by the fabulous Dutch Courage Bar Hire. Scott and his team are second to none! Heather and Michael took a quiet stroll into the grounds, and the results were unforgettable: soft, glowing portraits that paired their natural chemistry with the beauty of the landscape.

Inside the marquee, the rustic decor was a great backdrop to the whimsical styling and soft colours. Into the evening fairy lights twinkled above wooden floors as the newlyweds made their grand entrance to cheers and applause. The rest of the night was filled with dancing, confetti, and infectious energy — every frame a memory.
